Scampston Hall & Park

Since 1998, the Malton Show has been held at Scampston Park, 4.5 miles East of the village of Malton in North Yorkshire.

Scampston Park and Hall, North Yorkshire Scampston Hall is one of North Yorkshire's most important historic buildings and dates back to the 1690s. It has remained in the same family and is currently the private home of Sir Charles and Lady Legard, who maintain the property to the very highest standards. It is also home to a superb collection of paintings, porcelain and furniture, including works of art by Thomas Gainsborough, Samuel Scott, Richard Wilson and others.

Scampston Walled Garden is one of England's celebrated gardens, and was refurbished by Piet Oudolf, in 2004. It is open to the public for part of the year.

Scampston Park stretches over some 70 acres, and features many magnificent native trees, with a series of lakes ending in a Palladian style bridge. It is the location of the annual Malton Show.
